PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a lid body from being damaged, plastically deformed and failing in closing and opening even if an excessive load is applied to a lid body. SOLUTION: The storage container is equipped with a sheet metal arm 3 suspended from the lid body 2, a pivot shaft 6 pivoting the sheet metal arm 3 to the container 1, and an urging member 7 urging the lid body 2 upward. The sheet metal arm 3 is pivoted with the pivot shaft 6 through a slot 33 extending to the vertical direction. The container 1 has a receiving part 12 which is brought into contact with and supports the lid body 2 when the pivot shaft 6 relatively moves in the slot 33 to move the lid body 2 downward. The load is received by the receiving part 12 without permitting the excessive load to act on the sheet metal arm 3 and the pivot shaft 6. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
