PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flame retardancy-imparting agent capable of imparting the flame retardancy, and reducing the changes of characteristics and reactivity of the resin while improving the flame-retardant effects of a conventional flame retardant; and to provide a flame-retardant resin composition using the agent. SOLUTION: The flame retardancy-imparting agent is obtained by filling pores of a porous material with a flame retardant of 5-100 vol.% based on the pore volume. In another embodiment, the flame retardancy-imparting agent is obtained by initially filling the pores of the porous material with the flame retardant of 5-99 vol.% based on the pore volume, and further filling 30-100 vol.% of the unfilled volume of the pore volume with a flame retardant-fixing resin. Further, the flame retardancy-imparting agent is obtained by filling the pores of 10-100 vol.% of the porous material based on the whole pore volume with a mixture obtained by mixing the flame retardant with the flame retardant-fixing material. The flame-retardant resin composition is obtained by dispersing 20-700 pts.mass of the flame retardancy-imparting agent in 100 pts.mass of a resin. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
