A mobile broadcasting receiver and an AGC(Automatic Gain Control) method are provided to stabilize the operation of a block having a PLL(Phase Locked Loop) structure by performing digital AGC on an output signal of an A/D converter. A tuner(31) receives and outputs a signal of a specific channel through an antenna. An A/D converter(32) digitalizes an analog signal outputted from the tuner. A digital AGC unit(33) controls a gain by accumulating a difference between a power of the digitalized signal and a predetermined reference power and multiplying a signal outputted from the A/D converter by the accumulative value. A controller operates at least one of the digital AGC unit and the A/D converter.
