PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nut to be used as a component for assembling an aluminum frame into a structure, having required strength while allowing post-insertion assembly. SOLUTION: The nut 10 comprises a short side having a size WN larger than a width W1 of an inlet opening 14-1 of a retaining groove 14 of the aluminum frame 12 but large enough to slantly mount therein, a long side having a size LN opposing a width W2 of an intermediate enlarged portion 14-2 of the retaining groove 14, and a screw hole into which a hexagon socket head cap screw 18 is threaded. A corner portion ranging from the short side to the long side is chamfered in a screw fastening direction. The nut 10 is slantly put into the retaining groove 14 of the aluminum frame 12 via the inlet opening 14-1. It is first rotated in association with the threaded hexagon socket head cap screw 18 in the same direction but finally fastened with the long side abutting on the opposite face of the retaining groove 14.
