PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device of an internal combustion engine capable of restraining generation of a torque shock when stopping a fuel cut in response to an acceleration request. SOLUTION: This control device of the internal combustion engine performs the fuel cut when a vehicle is put in a decelerating state, and increases throttle valve openingθt more than idling time opening. The control device of the internal combustion engine is characterized by controlling the throttle valve openingθt in opening corresponding to a requested acceleration degree thereafter by setting the throttle valve openingθt to the idling time opening in the first place when stopping the fuel cut in response to the acceleration request, and prohibiting control for setting the throttle valve openingθt to the opening corresponding to the requested acceleration degree while intake pipe internal pressure Pm is larger than target intake pipe internal pressure Pmt when stopping the fuel cut in response to the acceleration request.
