PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biodegradable filtering material containing fibrillated lyocell fibers which effects the balanced properties of uniformity of the filtering material, trapping efficiency of solid particles and pressure loss. SOLUTION: The filtering material includes the fibrillation lyocell fibers, one or more of the biodegradable fibers having a fiber diameter of 1-30μm, regenerated fibers or semi-synthetic fibers.
