An image recording apparatus is provided to reduce the occupancy space of a connector and improve the storage speed of data by connecting a hard disc to a hard disc driver in an S-ATA(Serial-Advanced Technology Attachment) type. An S-ATA hard disc(254) stores image data, which are encoded by an image recording apparatus. A serial connection connector(252) connects the S-ATA hard disc(254) to a hard disc driver(250). The hard disc driver(250) transmits the encoded image data to the S-ATA hard disc(254) and receives data from the S-ATA hard disc(254) through the serial connection connector(252).
