A semiconductor integrated circuit for driving a liquid crystal display is provided to improve usability by easily setting driving conditions, and to reduce the size of a chip by reducing the number of external parts. A semiconductor integrated circuit for driving a liquid crystal display is formed on one semiconductor chip for generating and outputting driving signals applied to a scan line and a signal line of a liquid crystal display panel(300), respectively. The semiconductor integrated circuit embeds a non-volatile memory circuit(250) capable of being electrically written or a non-volatile memory circuit capable of being electrically written and erased. The non-volatile memory circuit is formed by a device produced by a semiconductor manufacturing process producing a device composing another circuit of the semiconductor chip.
