PREPARATION OF ELECTRIC CATALYSTS AND A SING BODY MEA FOR FUEL CELLS USING SUPERCRITICAL FLUIDS

Provided are a method for supporting an electrode catalyst in a support which is simplified, and an integrated membrane electrode assembly for a polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cell which is reduced in interface resistance. The method comprises the steps of soaking a metal precursor in a support by using a supercritical fluid as a solvent or adding a co-solvent to a supercritical fluid at a temperature of 40-100 deg.C and under a pressure of 100-400 bar for 1-24 hours; and reducing it at a high temperature of 100-500 deg.C under a nitrogen atmosphere or in the presence of a reducing agent. The integrated membrane electrode assembly contains a catalyst supported in a support dispersed on the surface of an electrolyte membrane without the distinction of an electrolyte and an electrode.
