A tail gate locking device for a vehicle is provided to prevent a tail gate and a body from being resonated, by spacing a striker locking groove apart from a striker. A striker insertion groove(30) is formed on a base plate(11), and a latch body is positioned on one side of the striker insertion groove. A latch pole(15) is installed on the other side of the striker insertion groove by a support pin. A locking protrusion(16) and a locking projection(17) are formed on the latch body and the latch pole, respectively. One end of a crank type support shaft(40) is fixed to the latch body through a support hole(41) formed on the base plate, and the other end is installed on a motor. A controller receives a signal output from a speed sensor to control the motor.
