摘要 A coding/decoding apparatus for orthogonal frequency division multiple access communication system and a design method thereof are provided to reduce a manufacturing cost and drive power by composing parallel coders/decoders according to the number of sub-channels and a block size as a processing unit. A coding/decoding apparatus for orthogonal frequency division multiple access communication system uses a block coding method and a decoding method. The coding/decoding apparatus includes a mapper(20) and a coding/decoding unit. The mapper is used for determining paths to provide user information according to states of sub-channels assigned to users. The coding/decoding unit is composed of coders/decoders corresponding to sizes of blocks to be processed and the number of sub-channels. The coding/decoding unit processes the user information in parallel through the paths selected by the mapper.
