A water soluble film for skin care and wound repair and a method for preparation thereof are provided to rapidly transfer effective components through the skin when it contacts with the skin, so that wound repair is promoted and skin care is improved. The water soluble film for skin care and wound repair comprises 0.01-20 wt.% of a synthetic polymer material, 0.01-20 wt.% of natural polymer material, 0.1-10 wt.% of skin affinity promoting agent, 0.1-10 wt.% of natural biological material, 1-20 wt.% of polyvalent alcohol, 0.01-10 wt.% of functional additives, 0.01-2 wt.% of antiseptic and 8-98.76 wt.% of water, wherein the water soluble film has the thickness of 2-3,000 mum; and the synthetic polymer material is polyvinylpyrrolidone, polyvinylalcohol, polyethyleneoxide, polyvinylacrylic acid or polymetha-acrylic acid; natural polymer material is gelatin, agar, carrageenan, alginate, chitosan, chitosan derivatives, starch, fluran, galactomannan, glucomannan, guar gum, locust bean gum, fluronic, algin, xanthan or gellan; the skin affinity promoting agent is ceramide, kojic acid, alpha-hydroxylate and beta-hydroxylate, retinol, vitamin C, vitamin C derivatives, vitamin A, vitamin E, elastin, amino acid, aloe, Centella asiatica(L.)urban extract, Glycyrrhiza uralensis FISCH. extract, Portulaca oleracea Linne extract, beta-glucan, proteoglucan, guaba, grape seed extract, chamomile or hyaluronic acid; and the natural biological material is Angelica gigas Nakai, Houttuyniae Herba, Phellinus linteus, pomegranate, potato, Schizandra chinensisis BAIL, Ganoderma lucidum, Astragalus membranaceus (FISCH) Bunge, aloe, green tea, ginseng, pyroligneous liquor, pine tree leaf, ginkgo leaf, propolis, mulberry leaf or silkworm.
