A shock absorbing device of a brake pedal is provided to effectively reduce a driver's damage in a car crash by rotating the brake pedal forward and reducing speed of a crash between the brake pedal and the driver's leg portion. A shock absorbing device of a brake pedal comprises a mounting bracket fixed with a vehicle body at one side and detachably combined at the other side; an upper pedal arm(5a) rotatively mounted on the mounting bracket by intermediation of a hinge shaft; a lower pedal arm(5b) detachably connected with the upper pedal arm by intermediation of a fixing pin; a fixing pin separating means separating the lower pedal arm from the upper pedal arm in a car crash; and a guiding means serving as a moving guide about the mounting bracket in the car crash and providing the reaction force to the fixing pin separating means. |
