SYSTEM FOR MANAGING CONCENTRATEDLY A LOCAL DHCP SERVER WITH A HFC SUBSCRIBER MANAGING SEVER AND METHOD THEREOF

A system for concentrically managing a local DHCP(Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) server by an HFC(Hybrid Fiber Coaxial) subscriber management server and a method therefor are provided to automatically upgrade a DHCP package as automatically downloading a configuration file of a new terminal, so that a central manager can directly manage the local DHCP server, consequently operation time can be reduced. A subscriber terminal requests an IP(Internet Protocol) address to be leased. A local DHCP server assigns an IP in response to the request for leasing the IP address of the subscriber terminal, and maintains an IP scope. A central management server automatically downloads a configuration file for booting a new terminal to the local DHCP server, in order that the downloaded file can be used as a configuration file in case of the IP request of the subscriber terminal.
