A method and an apparatus for storing a broadcasting program are provided to remove unnecessary audio/video signals and application information transmitted in duplicate. A tuner and modulating member(100) receives, modulates the broadcasting TS(Transport Stream) received through an antenna according to the control of a control member(160) and then transmits the modulated signal to a de-multiplexer(110). The de-multiplexer divides the modulated broadcasting program TS into an audio/video signal, application information and EPG(Electronic Program Guide) information. An audio/video signal processing member(122) processes the audio/video signal inputted through the de-multiplexer as a packaged audio/video file. An EPG information processing member(126) inserts a null flag for nullifying the time information into a portion related to the time information in the EPG information of the broadcasting program TS.
