A DMB(Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) informing service method and a system therefor are provided to allow a DMB providing sever to previously receive DMB programs which a user wants to view from the user and transmit a broadcasting guide message for informing the broadcasting of DMB to a user terminal when the DMB is broadcasted. A DMB providing server(120) stores DMB program information associated with a user ID in a user information database, and confirms whether DMB to be broadcasted is DMB which a user wants to receive. When the DMB to be broadcasted is the DMB for which the user wishes, the DMB providing server(120) transmits a broadcasting guide message including DMB program information to a user terminal(110). The user terminal(110) receives the broadcasting guide message from the DMB providing server(120), and provides the received broadcasting guide message to the user. When a certain selection command is received from the user, the user terminal(110) connects to the DMB providing server(120) and provides the DMB.
