An accelerator using a hall sensor and a vehicle driving method using the accelerator are provided to judge whether normal signals are outputted according to pedal operation of a driver. An accelerator comprises an accelerator pedal; and a hall sensor generating output signals according to rotated angle of the pedal. The hall sensor produces A-phase output signals having certain changes and increasing voltage according to an increase of the pedal rotated angle; and B-phase output signals having the same change with the A-phase output signals and reducing voltage. A vehicle driving method using the accelerator includes steps for outputting the A-phase signals and B-phase signals by using the hall sensor of the accelerator(400); and checking whether the sum value of the voltages of the A-phase and B-phase signals is in a set voltage range by inputting the A-phase and B-phase signals to a control unit and stopping driving the vehicle by judging that the accelerator is erroneously operated if the sum value is not in the set voltage range(402,404).
