A transdermal delivery device for delivering dihydropyridine-type calcium antagonists through the skin for treatment of hypertension. The device may comprise a backing layer and an adhesive matrix reservoir. The adhesive matrix reservoir is affixed to aside of the backing layer and may comprise at least one fatty acid permeation enhancer as well as the dihydropyridine-type calcium antagonists.
