PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spatula for cooking an Okonomiyaki (Japanese style pancake) by which even a person who is not used to handling a spatula can easily turn the japanese style pancake. SOLUTION: The spatula for cooking the Okonomiyaki comprises a spatular body 1 scooping up the japanese style pancake and a handle portion 2 secured to the spatula body 1. The spatula body 1 has at least a size such that the Okonomiyaki does not protrude from the same when putting the Okonomiyaki thereon, and comprises a platelike portion 11 whose part of peripheral fringe is an inserting fringe 11a inserted in a back face of the Okonomiyaki and a bank portion 12 arranged in a position other than the inserting fringe of the peripheral end of the plate like portion 11 and extending along the fringe of the plate like portion 11.
