The method involves assigning a certain message type at a sensor/actuator so that the type is read by sensors/actuators or authorized messages types are written by sensors/actuators for receiving a gateway (1). A connection is provided based on the type in addition to the transmission in a bus protocol of buses for the type. A sensor/actuator recognition and a mathematical/logical condition value are assigned, or other recognition/value is assigned during the assignment for message types. The gateway transmits central transmission function between two databuses.
