PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for collecting scum, which can follow the change of the water level of sewage and in which a satisfactory water flow can be secured in a scum collecting member when scum is collected. SOLUTION: This apparatus 1 for collecting scum is arranged in an aqueduct in which sewage flows and composed of a float unit 3, a negative pressure chamber 4 and a scum guide cylinder 5 in which a scum discharging pipe 7 is connected to its lower part. The float unit 3 is provided with a flexible bottom-blind bellows cylinder 11 and a ball tap 8. The upper end of a main body of the float unit is always made to sink under the water level of the sewage. The lower end of the negative pressure chamber 4 the upper surface of which is plugged is positioned inside the bellows cylinder 11. The periphery and upper part of the scum guiding cylinder 5 is surrounded by the negative pressure chamber 4. The bottom-blind scum guiding cylinder 5 is fixed to a bottom plate 20 of the float unit, made to penetrate the bottom plate from below and projected into the space higher than the water level of the sewage. A fluid forcibly-sending pipe 6 having a nozzle 6a facing the open surface 7a of the scum discharging pipe 7 is connected to the scum guiding cylinder 5. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
