PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable to arrange a combustion pressure sensor for detecting combustion pressure inside a cylinder without making a processing for installing it in the combustion chamber. SOLUTION: The center electrode 4 of a spark plug 1 is located offset to the opposite side to a side electrode 5 from a center line m of the spark plug. The center electrode side chip 11 and the side electrode side chip 12 which constitute a discharge gap 13 are opposed to each other interposing the spark plug center line m, and the central point X of the discharge gap 13 is located on the spark plug center line m. Then, a combustion pressure sensor 15 which detects combustion pressure in the cylinder is positioned between the center electrode 4 and the side electrode 5 and is fixed inside the plug body 2. Thereby, the combustion pressure sensor 15 can be arranged inside the plug body 2 of the spark plug 1, and accordingly processing of installing the combustion sensor 15 in the combustion chamber can be eliminated.
