PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rooftop ventilation fan having superior durability and capable of being stably opened and closed, with respect to improvement of the rooftop ventilation fan installed on a roof of a building such as a factory and a warehouse for ventilating the inside of the building. SOLUTION: This rooftop ventilation fan comprises a motor mounted in a ventilator opening portion 2, a fan rotated and driven by the motor, a shielding member 8 composed of two sheets of damper plates 12 covering the ventilator opening portion, a pair of arm members 22 for opening and closing the shielding member, and a driving mechanism 10 for driving the arm members to open and close the shielding member. Both damper plates 12 are respectively pivoted on a central line portion of the ventilator opening portion 2, and one end portion of each of the arm members 22 mounted in the direction intersecting with the direction of the central line portion, is mounted on an upper portion of each damper plate 12. The other end portion of the arm member 22 is connected with a driving mechanism 10, and both arm members are driven by the driving mechanism to open and close the shielding member like a butterfly.
