PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform sufficient removal of distortion caused by heat treatment of a work. SOLUTION: An elastic member 13 such as a hard rubber is installed on a surface of a projected part 11 of a fixed die 3 and the work W is set so as to cover the elastic member 13. At this stage the work W has the distortion X caused by the heat treatment so that there is a gap S between the work and the elastic member 13 (a). A pair of movable dies 5, 7 on right and left sides are moved close to the work W and perform pressing and correcting of the work. By applying elastic deformation to the elastic member 13 taking a spring back of the work W after correcting into account (b), the distortion X can be removed (c). COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
