Sulfonylamino-acetic acid derivatives and their use as orexin receptor antagonists

Sulfonylamino-acetic acid derivatives of formula (I) and their use as active ingredients in the preparation of pharmaceutical compositions is disclosed, wherein the variables are as defined in the specification. Also disclosed are processes for the preparation of such compounds, pharmaceutical compositions containing one or more of those compounds and especially their use as orexin receptor antagonists. These compounds are suitable for the treatment of eating disorders, sleep disorders, cardiovascular disorders, cancer, pain, depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, neuro-degenerative disorders and hyperthermia syndromes.
