PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a splittable conjugate fiber composed of a component containing a cellulose ester as a main component and a component containing a polylactic acid as a main component and satisfying softness, moisture absorption and splittability at the same time. SOLUTION: The splittable conjugate fiber is composed of a constituent component A composed mainly of a cellulose ester and a constituent component B composed mainly of a polylactic acid provided that either one constituent component is divided into at least 3 sections by the other constituent component.
