Hollow rail profile part (1) has horizontal string (8) inside from which a first arm (4) is bent down. It has a second vertical arm (5) parallel to first which together delimit a receiving space (11) for the clamping piece (10) with the lower open side (6) which is designed to border the edge of the flat object such as pane. The clamping piece has a pivotable bolt (12) and an operating piece (26) for the bolt on the open side of the receiving space. Both bolt and operating piece are located and designed so that the bolt when open only reaches between arm parts, but when closed lies on the string.
