PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolled sheet of an aluminum alloy, which has improved bending workability and a lowered earing rate in deep drawing, without impairing strength after having been painted and baked. SOLUTION: An ingot of the aluminum alloy comprises 1.0-1.5% Mn and 0.2-0.6% Mg, and 0.6% or less Si, 0.7% or less Fe, 0.30% or less Cu and 0.25% or less Zn, which are regulated elements, and the balance Al with unavoidable impurities. The manufacturing method comprises the steps of homogenizing the ingot at a temperature in a range of 450 to 630°C, for 1 to 24 hours; subsequently hot-rolling it at a starting temperature of 400°C or higher and at a finishing temperature of 300°C or lower; further primarily cold-rolling it at a reduction rate of 30% or higher; intermediate-annealing it at 400 to 630°C in a continuous annealing furnace; and final-cold-rolling it at a reduction rate of 15 to 30%.
