PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weather strip and its mounting method capable of being mounted easily on the side surface of a flange using a double-sided tape, particularly without causing the shape of a mounting base part to become large. SOLUTION: The weather strip 10 having the mounting base part 11 with approximately a U-section to be mounted on the flange 1 installed at an opening peripheral edge of a vehicle is configured so that the double-sided tape 15 to be adhered to the flange 1 is affixed to the inside surface of the side wall part 11a of the mounting base part 11 mating with one side face of the flange 1 in such a condition that releasing paper sheets are attached to the tape surfaces and that beads 20 greatly protruded inward than the protrusion of the tape 15 are formed on the end inside surface of the side wall part 11a of the mounting base part 11 on the side where the tape 15 is affixed.
