PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently and smoothly replenish an amount of hydraulic fluid to a pressurizing chamber while ensuring a sufficient fuel suction amount by improving pressure balance between the pressure in the pressurizing chamber and the pressure in a fuel tank when sucking fuel. SOLUTION: A sucking cylinder 17 forming a suction chamber 19 in its inside is provided in this hydraulic fuel pump 1A in which fuel is pressurized through a bellows 15 and sent to an engine by adding pressure fluctuation to hydraulic fluid in the pressurizing chamber 13A by a pressurizing plunger 12A reciprocated and slid by push-pressing its base end side by a rotating cam, and a hydraulic fluid introducing port 11a is opened to the inner wall of a pressurizing cylinder 11A. When sucking fuel, the internal pressure of the suction chamber 19 becomes lower than the internal pressure of the pressurizing chamber 13A by the displacement of a sucking plunger 18, and also the suction chamber 19 is communicated with the pressurizing chamber 13A at a predetermined timing, thereby the internal pressure of the pressurizing chamber 13A is lowered, and hydraulic fluid is sucked from the hydraulic fluid introducing port 11a.
