PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus making possible a smooth rotation of a brush roller and good agitation of toner even when a toner scattering member is brought into contact with the winding type brush roller. SOLUTION: A color printer 1 is provided with a photoreceptor drum and transfers a toner image formed on the photoreceptor drum onto a medium. The color printer 1 is provided with the brush roller 71 brought into contact with a position after transferring in the photoreceptor drum while rotating and the toner scattering member 72 scattering the toner taken into the brush roller 71 in positions other than the position of contact with the photoreceptor drum in the brush roller 71. The toner scattering member 72 is provided inclined with respect to the axial direction of the brush roller 71 and is provided with a barred part 72b brought into contact with the brush roller 71 in a plurality of positions.
