PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil separator improved in oil separating performance, miniaturized and shortening an oil separating time, and an air conditioner comprising the oil separator having all the characteristics. SOLUTION: The oil separator comprises an oil separating means 126 having an oil separating space in which oil can be separated from an oil-mixed refrigerant; discharge piping L1 with one end connected to a compressor and with the other end connected to the oil separating means to guide the oil-mixed refrigerant discharged from the compressor, to the oil separating means; and a droplet forming part 127 formed at the discharge piping so that at least a part of oil particles included in the refrigerant passing through the discharge piping flows in an oil droplet state into the oil separating means.
