<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blasting method and device for a substrate, capable of accurately forming a minute structure on a substrate, simply and inexpensively carrying out the formation as far as possible, and avoiding complicated cleaning treatment if possible. <P>SOLUTION: In the device and method for giving a structure to a substrate by blasting treatment, the substrate 18 is covered by a template 20 positioned and held on the substrate surface by magnetic force.
