PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a defoaming device of a liquid which enables an improvement in defoaming capability, and at the same time, a reduction of costs. SOLUTION: A foam catch net 38 having thousands of narrow slits 38a is housed inside of a vessel 31. Ink uptake ports 34a, 39a to supply the ink to a lower lid 34 are provided. A discharge mouth 34b to discharge outside the ink penetrating the narrow slits 38a of the foam catch net 38 and pooled is provided on the lower lid 34. A bubble K contained in the ink I inside the foam catch net 38 moves upward along an internal surface 38b of the foam catch net 38, and is filtered out the narrow slits 38a above the foam catch net 38 from an upper space R3 inside the net to move to an upper space R4 outside the net of the vessel 31.
