PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the removal of the body hair or the sebum which twines around or is attached to a rotary cylinder or the body hair or the sebum which is attached to a nail by washing in water while the hair, the sebum or the like does not invade the primary drive side and a breakdown of the primary drive is prevented. SOLUTION: A depilation apparatus comprises a main body casing 1 having a grip section to be held by a hand, the rotary cylinder 4 which is equipped with the two or more nails 5 to hold the hair by opening and closing and has a depilation means for pulling out the hair by rotation, and the primary drive for rotating the rotary cylinder 4. A waterproof member 6 for sealing water of the primary drive side against the rotary cylinder side is disposed in the middle of a drive transmission means comprised of a line of gears for the drive transmission from the primary drive to a gear disposed on the rotary cylinder 4. The waterproof member 6 combines a first waterproof section to execute the sealing water at a section of the line of the gears and a second waterproof section to execute the sealing water of separation joints between pedestals 8 which support the shafts of the gears by pivoting.
