PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bucket with a steep slope turbine cover having a relief groove. SOLUTION: A steam turbine bucket cover 22 has front and rear clearance faces 28, 30 provided on a positive pressure side fringe part of the cover, a contact face 34 provided between the clearance faces, and an undercut fillet 36 provided between the front clearance face 28 and the contact face 34. An adjacent bucket cover has front and rear clearance faces 38, 40, a contact face 42 provided between the clearance faces, and outer side radius 44 provided between the front clearance face and the contact face along a negative pressure side fringe part of the cover. The undercut fillet 36 includes two different radii to minimize or exclude fretting damage caused by high stress in interference fit between the contact faces of adjacent covers.
