A wireless communication terminal is provided to recognize a possibility that contents reception will fail before contents reception and not to perform contents reception if a radio state is lower than a certain value due to degradation of reception environment, thereby restraining needless power consumption required for reception operation of the terminal from the start of contents reception to reception failure. A wireless communication terminal(100) comprises the followings: a wireless communication unit(102) for performing wireless communication; a communication control unit(103) for receiving radio environment information and contents information from the wireless communication unit(102), and controlling a contents receiving process according to analysis information acquired by decoding the information from the wireless communication unit(102); a contents reception threshold value storage unit(106) for tabulating, correlating and storing contents transmission rate information, adapted to reception characteristics of the wireless communication unit(102), and the receiving radio environment information; and a contents reception judgment unit(105) which receives the receiving radio environment information and the contents information from the communication control unit(103), collates the receiving radio environment information and the contents information with the transmission information of the contents reception threshold value storage unit(106), and judges whether the contents receiving process is performed or not. |
