PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waterproof connector with efficiency of insertion work of a dummy stopper improved. SOLUTION: A block rubber stopper 13 with a terminal insertion hole 27 formed in correspondence with a cavity 14 is housed in a housing concave part 25 at the rear end of a female housing 11. A through-hole 35 for each position corresponding to the terminal insertion hole 27 is formed at a cover 29 mounted on a rear-face side of a dustproof rubber stopper. The dummy stopper 34 is retained at four places in its peripheral direction by four retainers 36 extended from an inner periphery wall of each through-hole 35 against the cover 29. When there is a vacant room 33 where no female-side terminal fitting 12 is inserted in a cavity 14, only a dummy stopper 34 at a position corresponding to the vacant room 33 is left out of all the dummy stoppers 34, and the other dummy stoppers 34 are punched out by a jig 37 and the female-side terminal fitting 12 can be inserted into the through-hole 35. When the cover 29 is mounted, the terminal insertion hole 27 in correspondence with the vacant room 33 is blocked by the dummy stopper 34. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
