<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively provide a selective reduction catalyst for nitrogen oxide, which can efficiently remove nitrogen oxide contained in an exhaust gas even under such conditions that oxygen and the like coexist in a high concentration, and to provide a process for producing the selective reduction catalyst for nitrogen oxide and a method for removing nitrogen oxide using the catalyst. <P>SOLUTION: The selective reduction catalyst for nitrogen oxide is characterized by comprising a substrate comprising an aluminum oxide layer produced by anodization of aluminum and silver supported on the aluminum oxide layer. Nitrogen oxide contained in an exhaust gas can be efficiently removed in the presence of the selective reduction catalyst for nitrogen oxide under such conditions that oxygen and the like coexist in a high concentration. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
