PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress man-hour necessary for manufacturing an engine system. SOLUTION: An engine system manufacturing process includes a step S100 analyzing propagation characteristics of vibration caused by knocking on a cylinder head and a cylinder block before assembly of an engine, a step S102 detecting resonance frequency of the cylinder block, and steps S200, S202, S204, S206 actually operating the engine and performing adaptation of an engine ECU when pseudo-SN ratio obtained by propagation characteristics of the cylinder head and propagation characteristics of the cylinder block satisfies a predetermined criterion (YES in S104).
