PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a building having a roof superior in drainage of rainwater, while sufficiently securing natural lighting and ventilation for a room having the high ceiling height. SOLUTION: A quadrangular roof 1 in plan view is laid on an outer wall 5a. A pair of corner parts 2a and 2b opposed on one diagonal line of this roof are positioned above a pair of corner parts 2c and 2d opposed on the other diagonal line. A roof surface inclining toward one eaves edge parts 3b and 4b from the other eaves edge parts 3a and 4a among opposed eaves edge parts of the roof 1, is inclined in the inverse direction with a longitudinal directional central part of its eaves edge part as a boundary.
