A display device and a portable display device comprising the same are provided to improve the durability and enhance the chemical resistance, by forming a buffer layer between a substrate and a transparent film. A display panel(130) includes a first substrate and a second substrate facing the first substrate. A transparent film(110) is formed on an upper surface of the second substrate, and protects the display panel. A buffer layer(120) is formed between the transparent film and the second substrate. The buffer layer is formed on a portion of the second substrate. The transparent film includes a light shielding region. The buffer layer has an adhesive characteristic.
