BACKLIGHT UNIT AND REVERSE PRISM SHEET EMPLOYED IN THE SAME

A backlight unit, an LCD, and an inverse prism sheet used in the LCD are provided to condense light through internal total reflection of the inverse prism sheet, thereby improving the efficiency of light and enhancing the brightness. An inverse prism sheet comprises a prism supporter(408), and a prism coupled with the prism supporter. The prism is composed of a plurality of prism configurations(404) linearly arranged. Each of the prism configurations has a right-angled triangle. The prism has a base part(406) positioned between the prism supporter and the prism configurations, wherein the base part couples the prism supporter with the prism configurations.
