A foldable vehicle seat assembly 10 includes: a seat back frame 18 having a lower end adapted to be supported relative to a vehicle floor to permit movement of the seat back frame between an upper, deployed position and a lowered, stowed position; a seat cross member 34 adapted to be supported relative to the vehicle floor in a spaced relation to the seat back frame 18; a seat suspension member 46, constructed of a flexible material, having a rear portion connected to the seat back frame 18 and a front portion connected to the cross member 34. When the seat back frame 18 is moved between the deployed position and the stowed position, the cross member 34 and the suspension member 46 are also moved between a deployed position and a stowed position. |
