<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet printing liquid having good water resistance, stable discharging property causing no clogging and excellent light resistance performance. <P>SOLUTION: The ink jet printing liquid contains a dye represented by general formula (2) and having at least one sulfonic acid group and a ≥10C ballast group.
