THERMAL IMAGING METHOD AND APPARATUS

A method of forming thermal image and an apparatus thereof are provided to increase the measurement efficiency of the working piece and easily measure the thickness and the defect of the material by inducing the light to the first surface of the working piece. A testing apparatus is composed of a light source set to induce the light to a first surface(24) of a working piece(22); an infrared ray detector set to receive the radiation from the first surface at plural moments; and a data acquisition and processing computer(56) coupled at the light source to trigger the light source and to emit the light and coupled at the infrared ray detector to obtain the heat data during the plural times. The heat data is analyzed and processed by using the theoretical method on the basis of the average heat data for the times corresponding to the plural times from the moments.
