The invention relates to medicine and concerns a method for decreasing the onset time of an antidepressant through the administration to patient of effective amount of modafinil with antidepressant, and use of the modafinil for the preparation of pharmaceutical composition for the administration with antidepressant for the treatment of depressive disorder and for decreasing the onset time of an antidepressant.
