An automatic refrigerant charging device for an air conditioner is provided to check and charge refrigerant of the air conditioner from time to time, thereby keeping an amount of the refrigerant optimally all the time. An automatic refrigerant charging device for an air conditioner includes a refrigerant amount measuring element for measuring an amount of refrigerant circulating a connection line(P) by a cooling cycle. A control part compares the measured value with an input set value and calculates a refrigerant charging amount. The refrigerant amount measuring element has a first and second temperature sensors(200,220) respectively measuring temperature of refrigerant in the connection line and a refrigerant charging line(S), and first and second pressure sensors(210,230) respectively measuring pressure of the connection line and the charging line. A refrigerant charging element charges refrigerant according to a control signal output from the control part.
