A wireless communication terminal having a function for notifying a message expiry time and a method thereof are provided to output a predetermined warning message before expiry time when multimedia data which constitutes a multimedia message is automatically deleted from a server, thereby normally receiving the multimedia message. A controller of a wireless communication terminal receives a notification message of a multimedia message(201). The controller calculates expiry time of multimedia data by using validity time of the multimedia data and reception time of the notification message(202). Before the calculated expiry time is reached, the controller outputs a predetermined warning message at fixed time through a display(203).
