A liquid crystal screen produced easily at low cost and free of the independence of the image on the angle of incidence. The liquid crystal screen (10) comprises a liquid crystal layer (14) composed of a transparent polymer film (11) made of latex and having voids and liquid crystal capsules (13) formed by filling the voids with rod-like molecules (12) of the nematic liquid crystal and a pair of PET films (15a, 15b) sandwiching the liquid crystal layer (14). The reduced diameter D1 of the liquid crystal capsules (13) is 1.5 mum or more, and the index of double refraction n of the rod-like molecules (12) of the nematic liquid crystal is 0.12 or more.
